Facades

As you wander around the streets of the town, look carefully at the facades of the houses. Several of them have decorative stucco motifs which were indicators of the wealth of the “Pradeens” living during the last century. Different types of building materials were used, pink marble quarried in Villefranche de Conflent, washed river stones, locally hand-made red clay bricks, and wrought-iron work, to embellish these facades.
